As Senior Managing Director and the Head of Multifamily Credit for D2 Asset Management, Joe Savarese oversees all aspects of the multifamily investment platform, including deal structuring, underwriting, capital markets, and asset management across D2's lending and preferred equity product lines.

Prior to joining D2 Asset Management, Savarese worked as Senior Managing Director and the Head of the Bridge Lending at NewPoint Real Estate Capital, where he built out the credit team and oversaw the bridge platform. Before joining NewPoint in 2021, Savarese was the Head of Product Execution for Lument’s balance sheet products, where he focused primarily on multifamily bridge and mezzanine lending. 

He previously held credit and portfolio management positions at ACRES Capital, Indigo Asset Management, Sheridan Asset Management, Western Asset Management, and The TCW Group, concentrating on real estate and other forms of alternative credit.

Savarese holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley University and a Master of Science in Finance from Boston College. He is a CFA® charterholder.
